I graduated from Towson University in 2015 with a major in Electronic Media and Film with a concentration in film production and a major in Spanish with a concentration in literature/translation. I started Vispera Productions as a side project to showcase my work to potential employers, and now I just do it as a hobby. Maybe it'll go somewhere (#gettysport), maybe not. But it's fun nonetheless. My ultimate goal is to shoot a NHL game or AMA race.
Víspera means "eve" in Spanish which was the name of my horse. She was born April 25, 1991 and was the first subject of my photography. She unfortunately became neurologic December 2021 and passed away March 17, 2022 on St. Patrick's Day at the overripe age of 30. She now resides in a coffee table-sized urn as 50lbs of ashes.
I've covered high profile equestrian sporting events such as the Land Rover Kentucky 3 Day Event, Upperville Colt & Horse Show, Fair Hill International and Washington International Horse Show. My work has been published in Horse & Hound (UK), Plaid Horse Magazine (USA), The Equiery (USA), Equestrian Life (AUS), Horse Deals (AUS), Horse & Pony Mag (NZ) and more.
Equestrian sports are what I'm known for, but I've also covered college and high school level lacrosse, gun shooting tournaments, high school & college level ice hockey and AMA events. I'm self taught in graphic design and enjoy shooting 35mm film photography. All of my work can be found on my Instagram @vispera.
In addition to being a photographer, I'm also part of the elite Pepper Pack group as a Dr Pepper brand ambassador which is my biggest accomplishment. When I'm not shooting or editing, I enjoy long hikes with my dog, drinking copious amounts of Dr Pepper and ignoring all of my adult responsibilities.
